We’re working with an exciting new start-up that has a desire to create and build amazing relationships between tertiary students and landlords. They will be starting from a unique advantage point with the support of the parent charitable trust, which is a hugely successful organisation that works in a similar field.
With their core objective to deliver property management services with a student focus, providing quality and affordable accommodation that directly contributes to building strong communities within Hamilton City.
In order to deliver on their 'why', a pivotal role has been created for a Senior Property Manager to lead and sustain the growth. There will be a range of different aspects to this role that is focused on building for the future. It will be an important part to bring on new landlords to support the many students that they already have access to and identify new opportunities to better develop the benefits of student living. Together, working with the General Manager this role will have a range of responsibilities which include but not limited to:
- Assist and contribute to the successful establishment of the new business
- Build a team that will support and drive towards the vision
- Gaining a pipeline of landlords for student accommodation
- Manage any maintenance required on properties
- Help create new unique packages for landlords and students
- Manage any tenant/landlord to ensure that each party has satisfactory outcomes
- Contribute to the ongoing review and innovation of services provided
Passion is the key to being successful in this role and we will be looking for someone that shares the same vision to create something unique and special for students and landlords. This person would need to be able to get on with all kinds of people to understand each person’s circumstances. Importantly they would be someone who does not idly wait to get things done and will act with their own initiative while respecting the vision and values.
Some of their prior experience will be in real estate or property management. A person that has a history of getting themselves out there in an industry that requires them to build a strong reputation for a better future. Leadership will be a big part and we want to find a leader that has an inclusive nature and is not afraid to think big and inspire others through ethical action.
