Waikato Regional Airport Limited, also known as Hamilton Airport is the second busiest airport for flight movements in New Zealand. With a catchment of around 420,000 people Hamilton Airport boasts the fourth longest commercial runway in the country and provides travellers with a gateway to the central North Island.
As this company grows, its diverse portfolio includes not only Hamilton Airport itself, it now includes commercial property development, property investment, a farm and a hotel amongst its business streams.
Supporting the Commercial & Marketing Manager, and based at Hamilton Airport, the newly created role of Marketing Executive will be responsible for a wide range of marketing activities including website design and implementation, search engine optimisation, assisting agencies with social media content planning, preparing communications responses for travellers and stakeholders, database management and writing copy for both internal and external communications. There will also be a host of other responsibilities including collateral and brand management, assisting with research, working on special projects and co-ordinating proprietary media in the terminal ensuring digital screens, displays and advertising materials are updated according to the marketing plan.
The position has been designed for someone who is looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity – 20-30 hours per week with flexibility for the right candidate.
Our ideal person will be a mid-level marketing executive who has 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role. It will be essential that you have strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, along with digital media experience including social media, EDM’s, database and SEO management. You must have excellent copywriting skills and a strong command of the English language. Basic design skills or experience with programmes such as Canva or PhotoShop would be an advantage but not essential.
We are looking for a great team player, who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuff done, when timelines are tight. Along with your collaborative nature, you need to be able to manage your own time so that outcomes are achieved.
