Quantity surveyor needed for trusted Tauranga based construction company

The Business
ZB Homes is locally owned and has been operating in Tauranga for almost 2 decades.  We are a residential building company that Bay of Plenty locals trust and depend on for quality, flexibility, and progress. The Role
We are looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of residential construction ZB Homes projects that meet our high standards, are on time and within cost.  This includes:
  • Preparing schedules of quantities and associated costs based on architects' and engineers' building plans
  • Reviewing information in relation to quantities and costs
  • Supporting finance and in-house systems
  • Developing and analyzing reports
  • Working collaboratively within the ZB Homes team
The Person
You will:

- Have enjoy Quantity Surveying with experience in residential construction projects
- Have a knowledge of residential building methods and materials
- Understand relevant legislation, including the New Zealand Building Code, the New Zealand Building Act 2004 and local by-laws
- Be comfortable working on the computer, using Excel and will preferably have experience using BuilderTrend or a similar system
- Enjoy being self-managed as well as working as part of a team
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be details focused, accurate and willing to learn and develop
- Be a team player and solution orientated
- Hold and maintain a clean NZ drivers licence (Class 1 manual and automatic)
